Winners cups from Victor Alexander glass manufactory
already in the 14th year the exclusive glass cups are manufactured by the Victor Alexander glassworks, Walter Wiesmüller is responsible for the design.
Each of these glass cups is a handmade unicum & will be used exlusively for the Steffi Graf Team Cup
as part of the Leipzig Open 2019 and for the ITF Pro Circuit Ladies Tournament.
With the Steffi Graf Team Cup, the start of the Leipzig Open, by far the most important tennis event in eastern Germany, was made at the Leipzig TC 1990 facility this weekend. This time four mixed selection teams of the age group U 10 from Central Germany (two girls and two boys) fought for the victories.
In the end, the Saxons, coached by Ronny Böhme (SV TuR Dresden), were the most jubilant, and were able to receive the trophy lovingly designed by glass artist Walter Wiesmüller. The Saxon selection defeated Saxony-Anhalt with 12:0 and Central Germany II with 7:5. Saxony separated from Central Germany I 6:6.
The winning Saxony team included Annabell Prager (ATV Leipzig 1845), Mia Ruppert (VTC Reichenbach), Luca Menhart (Bad Weißer Hirsch Dresden) and Hans Kramm (SV 1919 Grimma).
