"Business-Champion-Award 2015-2016"

On Thursday,01.12.2016 under the glass roofs of Leipzig, where business and sports united to hold the award ceremony of the "Business Champions Award".

Thus, as part of the campaign "Business meets Sport" - 1000 companies for sports, the event took place in the LVZ Kuppelsaal.

Together, the Olympiastützpunkt Leipzig, the IHK zu Leipzig and of course Concept4sport invited representatives from politics, business and sports, with the clear goal of winning 1000 companies for Olymipa to actively contribute to Leipzig sports.

Greats from sports such as theHurdles European Champion 2016, 5th place at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro 2016 Cindy Rohleder, Olympic Champion 2016 in Rio, European Champion 2010-13-15 & 2016, World Champion 2013 &14 in rowing Annekatrin Thiele, canoeing world champion Franz Anton supported the campaign with full commitment, also Jan Benzien silver medal winner World Cup 2002, world champion 2006 in the single canoe teamand ex-professional footballer Steffen Freund were present and received the Business Champion Award 2016 as award winners.

In addition to highlights such as the presentation by the Chairman of the Board Karsten Tornow on the topic: "Communication is everything" and the presentation of the project "1000 companies for Leipzig".

The presentation of the Business Champion Award 2016 was of course in the foreground. Here, glass flame trophies were awarded by laudatories such as guest of honor Katarina Witt (last year's award winner) to honorees such as Steffen Freund (ex-professional soccer player), Jan Benzien, Sandra Neubert, Dr. Uwe Teichert, Markus Wulftange and Wolfgang Scheefe & Gerd Kalbitz.

At the end of the event there was not only a warm buffet, but rather a common goal and vision to start together with entrepreneurs and athletes into a future in which the sport from Leipzig becomes a status symbol for Germany.

The LVZ-Post had come up with a great idea for the evening: Katarina Witt received a special stamp, which was personally presented to her by managing director Andreas Erskamp, who then signed it and donated it for the auction.
